we met in the Woodcutters Arms on Smithdown Road not far from Sefton Hospital where Mumtaz was boarding during her midwifery course. She came along with Caroline, Dave Unwin's fiancée. Dave and I taught together in the Science faculty and along with several staff members we were having a Saturday evening out. Mumtaz and I made an instant connection and I ended up taking her home in my brand new car!
