Eileen and Tony 18th January 2017

From Eileen and Tony Mayes. A tribute to Mumtaz, a good friend. We met through friends six years ago. We belonged to the same walking group. She was fitter than us then and we also went to badminton with her and Tony. Great times. Mumtaz was always here for Eileen when she had problems with her quilting while living in Bognor and they shared quilting ideas. Back in Spain, Mumtaz went to the local church sewing group and helped many there with sewing. She loved her grandchildren, two in New Zealand and one in London; her daughter Suzy was always talked about as was her son Jon in New Zealand. She lived for her family and loved to cook, and, even though she was ill of late, she was very brave when it came to Ramadan, undertaking it even when it coincided with the long summer days and short nights. We were so sorry we were not there to say goodbye. God bless her, Tony and their family.
